Morning Glorie is a pre-school and day care facility that works by understanding the dynamics and demands of today.
We are living in a fast paced world. There is an increasing segment of the upwardly mobile generation – young people who are placing demands on high quality living. But the biggest demand is a two way street – the future generation demanding a good development and lifestyle, it is perhaps their right to, and us, as parents and educators, wanting a better future for them. The foundation that we lay for them today will determine what the world will be like tomorrow.
Our endeavor is to create a facility where parents will be comfortable while leaving their children. A place where the child is happy and looks forward to coming every day, and is just as happy to leave with his or her parents – a home away from home. Thus we strive to provide “the complete mental comfort for the parent”.
Each ‘person’ is special and has a unique personality which needs to be nurtured – it is our effort to nurture this uniqueness and not churn out ‘factory products’ – children striving towards similar role model like personalities. After all, one is young only once. It is important to enjoy their today without obsessing too much over their tomorrow. It is our endeavor not to rush the process of growing up – not to clutter and structure the young child’s psyche too much – give them space; nurture their uniqueness; nudge them towards their niche areas; help them take confident first steps towards the real world; encourage them to explore the unknown and new.
A pre-school is the first place where a child learns that there is an external world with so many other kinds of people, with whom he/she has to interact. It is the first place where he/she faces choices- on how to handle different situations (good as well as adverse), discover skills and likes, strengths and weaknesses, interact in groups. At our day care centre and pre-school we strive to focus less on the rigid class room structure and more on nurturing the child’s interest. The stress is on the child’s curiosity which is encouraged by letting the pre schoolers question themselves, each other and their teachers too.
At Morning Glorie, we propose that a child needs to discover on his/her own what he/she wants and likes in a natural environment, rather than forcing him/her into anything, in this case, learning to read and write so early on just because everyone else is, or that he/she should know everything from art to music to dancing. Let him/her discover his/her own strengths, at his/her own pace, while playing a proactive role in shaping his/her value system- he/she needs to be taught values like not to lie, not to steal, learning to solve problems by words or approaching an adult rather than fighting among yourselves, sharing, patience, friendship etc.
Keeping in mind the problems faced by working parents, a premium day care facility is also made available for babies as young as six months of age. The concern for working parents of children in the older age group of 5 years and above have also been addressed by making available half-day care.
The stay at home parent also needs a welcome break from parenting. To that end, we also provide a play group for children younger than the preschool age (18 months and above).
